Shadman Bashir, LL.B., LL.M., is the Executive Director of International Programs at Utah Tech University. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, law, and international affairs, he leads initiatives that expand study abroad opportunities, strengthen global partnerships, and foster cross-cultural understanding. A trained attorney and professor, Shadman is passionate about preparing students for meaningful international experiences and success in an interconnected world.
Daniel Kampsen
Executive Director, Global Safety and Operations
Drexel Global, Drexel University
Daniel Kampsen is a global safety and international education expert with more than a decade of experience in risk management, crisis response, and international operations. A former attorney and Fulbright Scholar, he leads global safety initiatives at Drexel University and serves as Chair of NAFSA's Health and Safety Subcommittee, helping institutions and travelers navigate international experiences safely and confidently.
Derek Robertson
Associate Professor; Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor
Eastern Oregon University
Dr. Derek Robertson is an educator, researcher, and licensed professional counselor with 30 years of counseling experience. His work focuses on multicultural awareness, cultural immersion, and helping students develop greater self-awareness and understanding of diverse communities. His research explores how international and cross-cultural experiences can foster personal growth, empathy, and cultural humility.
